Rupnagar, August 24, 2024 (News Team): The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar), in collaboration with Masai School, is thrilled to announce the commencement of its pioneering Minor in AI program, designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to excel in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence. To mark this significant milestone, IIT Ropar is hosting an exclusive orientation event on August 24, 2024, welcoming over 200 students from diverse backgrounds who have enrolled in the program.
This event represents IIT Ropar's first step towards its ambitious mission of training over 1 lakh AI engineers, with Masai School contributing to making premier education accessible to all, thereby empowering the next generation of engineers and technologists to become leaders in the AI revolution.
The orientation for the Minor in AI at IIT Ropar will begin with a grand inauguration and keynote addresses from esteemed faculty and industry experts, including Prof Rajeev Ahuja- Director IIT Ropar & Prof. Sudarshan Iyengar, Head of the Department of CSE. Attendees will receive an in-depth overview of the curriculum, experience a live AI demo, and participate in a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring prominent influencers in AI such as Arsh Goyal, Yash Garg, Gokul Chhabra, and Prof. Sudarshan Iyengar.
