Shikha Malhotra is Awarded with Vagdhara Nav Samman 2021 by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented at Raj Bhavan

Mumbai, March 02, 2021 (News Team): Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the Vagdhara Nav Ratna Samman at Raj Bhavan to Shikha Malhotra. Former Chief Minister Narayan Rane and former Minister of State Kripa Shankar Singh and President of Vagdhara Rashtriya Manch Vageesh Saraswat were present at the event.

Shikha Malhorta, who is a qualified nursing officer, volunteered her services during the pandemic for 7 months before getting the virus herself. During her time as a frontline warrior, Malhotra took care of several many coronavirus patients from the age of 7 months to 98 year old. She has worked in films like Fan (2016) and Running Shaadi (2017) and has done a lead role in Kaanchli: Life in a Slough (2020) currently streaming on OTT platform.

“I am very grateful to the Vagdhara Judicial Selection Committee, who has made me proud with this honor. Along with being an actress, I had a higher education in nursing. It was my privilege to do something for the country during the time of the global epidemic. I will always look forward to human welfare. I want to thank my parents and fans.” said Shikha Malhorta.
