James Samuel, Engineering student from CGC, to be working as an IT Resident at Google |
Chandigarh, December 27, 2019 (News Team): James Samuel, a 21-year old final-year engineering student from Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran will now be working as an Information Technology Resident at Google. This is a 26-month long program designed by Google to kick-start the career of young IT professionals who qualify the long-interview process. James would be joining the Internal IT support Team at Hyderabad followed by a 10-day orientation program at Singapore and 2 month long training at various international locations. This would be his first professional full-time job after completing his engineering degree in Information Technology from CGC, Landran in July 2020. He has been hired on 8.5 lakh per annum salary package.
“When Google visited our campus, I was not sure if I was capable enough to join the biggest company of the world. The Interview process started 1 month ago wherein I had to give an online technical test after which I was directed to upload my resume and a 30 second video briefing about the reason for joining Google. After getting shortlisted, I was called to Gurgaon for the elementary interview round and the hiring committee finally accepted me” shares James who dreams to join ISRO in the future as he wants to stick to his own country rather than working at a foreign land.
