Ludhiana, May 09, 2018 (Iqbal Happy): Kundan Vidya Mandir School, Civil Lines organized Annual Prize Distribution function at its campus keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the high achievers in the fields of academics and co-curricular activities.
Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India was chief guest for the occasion. Later,the blessings of the almighty were invoked through the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by a mesmerizing vandana of Maa saraswati. A thought provoking performance The Zenith of Glory pertaining to the theme of the function left the audience spell bound. It conveyed the message of reaching the pinnacle of excellence by following the passion as many of our legends like Abdul Kalam, Birju Maharaj, Zakir Hussain followed their passion and the scaled the heights of glory.
Principal Puri read out the school report highlighting the glories and achievements of the students and the school. As many as 1350 children received prizes. All round best student of class 12th was Tatsum Kharbanda whereas best singer was Mehak Pathak. Best dancer was Raghav Bansal and Hitika Goyal was best Quizzer. Best speakers in English, Hindi and Punjabi were Simran Madaan, Chahat Bhandari, Naazpreet Kaur respectively.
Chief guest Sanjay Kumar congratulated the Prize winners and applauded the efforts of the children. He advised the children to stay humble and stay attached to their roots. He also advised the children to continue their efforts to excel.
School Manager Ashwani Kumar presented vote of thanks and congratulated the school Principal Navita Puri and her team for continuing their journey towards excellence.
